My Story of finding Holistic Care...
Several years ago, I was diagnosed with Rhumatoid Arthritis, because of that, Doctors wanted me on ALL the RA drugs! What kind of life is That? Once you start, there is NO end. One drug leads to another and another. Soon you will be taking pills to help the others not hurt you. Some of these drugs even "cause cancer" now that is something to REALLY think about. What the tests show is that I have the RA Factor in my body, That is just a test to tell you that the "factor" is there, now is that what is really Causing the Pain?
Here is My story, you may have something else, but what I found about me...
What I did have were Severe Food Allergies that triggered responses in my body similar to RA. These allergies would result in Hives, Muscles would "lock" up, Fatigue and Weight Gain. Ultimately, I was allergic to most fruits and vegetables and also many other foods too. And other 'allergens' from the environment.

Refusing to take drugs for any pain and swelling, I set out to find the alternative treatments and remedies I remembered from the 80's that holistic care was something I needed to go back to. I knew there were many different herbs and natural treatments for my "condition". I had also heard about "Muscle Testing" for food allergies from a Chiropractor in Minnesota. I found information on the top ten allergens, (note: this is a tripod link, disable all pop-ups before linking) which opened the door to finding the help I needed and easing my allergies. I found the "alternative" to completely cure my food allergies and start my way to a healthier me. This program is called NAET and Helen McCollum, L. Ac. whose office is located in Virginia Beach. Helen has extensive training and education in many aspects of Healing through Traditional Chinese Medicine. Helen has been treating me with Acupuncture, Acupressure and the NAET program since January '06. This has truly been a a blessing as I was at a physical and emotional devastating point when I found her.
Half way through my life, The journey is just beginning!
The more I learn about myself and getting myself healthy, the more I can bring to my kennel and use for my dogs. The more I research to make our lives more healthy and fulfilling, the more healthy the whole family becomes. We are all benefiting from Holistic Care and Homeopathic Remedies.
